KOCCA Says America Should Worship K-pop, Korean Media Flips Out Over JYJ’s Yoochun Being Around Ashley Tisdale

It figures that perhaps the most painfully arrogant and embarrassingly delusional piece on the Hallyu Wave was written by an Asian American (probably) on a site sponsored by the Korean government…

…and boy is it a doozy.

“HOW DID THE STUPID AMERICANS NOT SEE THE HALLYU WAVE COMING?! SILLY AMERICANS ARE SO DUMB AND ARROGANT! HAR HAR HAR! REFUSING TO MAINSTREAM SONGS IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE FROM A COUNTRY WITH COMPLETELY DIFFERENT POP CULTURE TRENDS! SO SILLY!“

Uh, because nobody in the mainstream media takes the fucking Jonas Brothers seriously?

Think about that. They have a goddamn Grammy Award and have sold like 8 million records and they are still treated as a pop culture punchline by the mainstream media. Yet you want America to pump up their opening act? Really?

Okay, wow.

Take a step back and let what you just read sink in and I can break it down for you.

1) American publications are not with the times because they didn’t pick up the K-pop trend earlier.

2) The only reason K-pop is not a mainstream success is because these idiot fans have yet to figure out what’s best for them.

3) Lady Gaga? Katy Perry? Rihanna? FUCK THEM. They all need to adjust to the Hallyu Wave.

In what is hilarious timing in relation to the KOCCA article you just read, the Korean media is currently busy flipping out over JYJ‘s Yoochun being sighted in the same video as Ashley Tisdale and Gabe Saporta.

JYJ‘s Yoochun was recently spotted hanging out at the Roosevelt in Hollywood alongside Ashley Tisdale and Gabe Saporta.

1) Who in the fuck is Gabe Saporta?

2) Ashley Tisdale is like a D-lister in America, that inferior pop culture across the Pacific from Korea, yet for whatever reason is still about 5000 times as relevant here as every K-pop act combined.

Remember, KOCCA says the Hallyu Wave is superior to everything, but they are busy judging their own artists by whether they can be in the background of a video recording of some shitty generic blonde teenybopper actress/singer outside of a hotel.

Aim high.

    Ashley Tisdale is not even D-List. She’s like Z-List by now. She hasn’t done anything remotely relevant or noteworthy in ages. (I would know, I used to be obsessed with her & High School Musical).
