As you probably have heard, 2PM‘s Junsu‘s father passed away recently, and people have sent out much support to him during what is undoubtedly a tough period in his life.
Predictably, his group mates and label mates have supported him publicly as well.
Jo Kwon is among those label mates who have expressed support…and he got criticized for it.
When the news was announced on January 20th, Jo Kwon had tweeted,
“My heart breaks for Junsu hyung whom I have known for a long time. Everyone please pray for Junsu and his father.”
Furthermore, he wrote,
“As time passes, we often experience times of hardship. As I have always felt before, I have once again learned to be thankful. Please enjoy a great Lunar New Years with your parents. And also, be thankful for this moment.”
Jo Kwon got criticized for tweeting that. Seriously.
Try to guess what the problem was because I’m still looking for anything to take issue with and have found nothing.
It’s utterly ridiculous.
This second part was at the center of controversy for Hottests, who felt that Jo Kwon made an insensitive remark to the loss of a father.
On January 22nd, Jo Kwon posted this apology on Twitter,
“It has just come to my attention that my Tweet has become a controversy among fans. I have reread my post to see how it could have become misinterpreted by Hottests. The thankfulness I’m referring to in my tweet was written with those precious people in mind, who have always been there whenever hard situations like this arise.”
How, and why, would I have put those words up with malicious intentions? I was suprised almost to the point of being scared by the harsh comments.”
Ultimately, Jo Kwon has deleted all tweets regarding the passing of Junsu’s father.
So Jo Kwon had to delete his supportive and uplifting tweets about Junsu’s situation because netizens who don’t even know either of them or their mental state got ass hurt over…well…I don’t even know what the fuck they are angry about.
God this has to be one of the dumbest things netizens have ever done.

Ugh, their stupidity strikes again. I suppose Jo Kwon meant that we should be thankful to our parents and not have regrets when they eventually pass. The netizens must be bored lately, trying to find any reason to get mad over.
This is just ridiculous, we need a celebrity who stands up to these idiots. But then again their career would be done.
