Big Bang‘s G-Dragon appeared on SBS‘s “Healing Camp” to explain his marijuana scandal, and he basically bullshitted his way through the interview.
Let’s pretend we are YG Entertainment/Big Bang/G-Dragon stans:
On the February 20th episode of SBS ‘Healing Camp‘, G-Dragon remarked, “At the time, I took a urine drug test, as well as a hair follicle drug test. When I received the results, I was shocked and I felt like the results were unfair. I didn’t believe it at first, because I knew I didn’t do it, but the results stated otherwise. I didn’t know where things had started to go wrong.”
“OPPA DIDN’T MEAN IT!“
“There was something I felt that could have contributed to the results, and it was weighing on my heart so I talked about it during the investigation. After our concert in Japan (May 2011), we had an after-party where a lot people were in attendance. I think the fact that I received a cigarette from a stranger there became the source of the problem. That incident started to be closely investigated, and it just came out.”
“Even though it was proven he did it, the whole thing so wasn’t his fault! It was that evil stranger who framed oppa!“
“We hosted the party ourselves, and we were in a really good mood because the concert went really well. At that moment, I had a lot to drink, and my managers were doing their own thing, and I was alone. I went to the restroom, and someone offered me a cigarette. I thought it would be rude to refuse, so I accepted it without giving it a second thought,” he reminisced.
MC Lee Kyung Kyu then asked, “Marijuana is different from cigarettes, is it not? Why were you unable to tell the difference?”, to which G-Dragon responded, “I was intoxicated from the alcohol, and I just figured it was a really strong cigarette. I never smelled [marijuana] before, so I couldn’t tell the difference. It looked like the cigarettes that I smoke.”
“Just thought it was a really strong cigarette, you guys! Plus, he was just drunk! Oh my, oppa is so charming. This just proves he’s so innocent that he didn’t even know that marijuana smells different from a cigarette.“
When asked, “You’re not lying, are you?”, G-Dragon answered, “No, I’m not. It wouldn’t be possible for my lies to be believable, and if I was lying, I would never have been able to face the public.”
“What do you haters have to say now, huh? He proved it beyond a reasonable doubt with that! Oppa couldn’t lie because it means oppa wouldn’t be able to appear in public if he did! Haters gonna hate!“
Personally, I’m inclined to believe him. I mean, who doesn’t accept cigarettes from random strangers in the bathroom of clubs, right?
No chance that would be drugged or disgusting.

Why was he questioned by the police in the first place for something that happened in a bathroom of a club at a supposedly controlled after party months before he was even tested?

This is so funny to me. My favorite group is Big Bang and even I call his bluff on this. He knew what the hell he was smoking and he knew is wasn’t his first time smoking it. Because first timers can’t inhale without choking up a storm. The smell, taste and feeling of weed is 100% different then a cigarette. GD was going to the truth “but then he got high”.
He just know that changing his story no matter how stupid it is will make things worse for him. So I am all for sticking to this lie as his truth.

It’s BS even more.. Last year this is what he said (taken from AKP)
“I smoked a cigarette that someone had given me at a club,” G-Dragon said. “The smell was somewhat different from that of a regular cigarette so I was slightly suspicious that it was marijuana, but it is true that I smoked it,” he said.
First he had doubts of what it was and even questioned if it was pot but still (stupidly) accepted it. Now he’s claiming he was so drunk & couldn’t decipher what it was (but clearly remembers what happened that night and didn’t second guess and he did it anyway because he didn’t wanna ‘refuse.’ (that means psycho fans can send him poisoned cakes and he won’t refuse and eat them in front of their faces!) They’re just trying to make him into the victim even more since he didn’t get charged legally in either countries (which is the fishy part.. no charges because it was ‘first time offense and seem to be sorry for his actions…’ Um so why didn’t others get the same slap on the wrist?)
Sorry just think it’s ridiculous that people cannot question his bogus statements and don’t even care if he lied “It was all in the past.. it doesn’t matter if he lied or tell the truth.. they’re making a comeback now! OPPA DIDN’T MEAN IT! We’re all humans and make mistakes!” It’s the delusional fans that annoy me with this whole issue.. not even the ‘scandal’ itself (he just gave a stupid lie… *shrugs*)

I smoke but I don’t smoke weed so I’m not one to say but really though.. I’ve experienced someone hand me a joint too but no matter how drunk you may be you could still differentiate a cigarette from a joint.
Wait didn’t he say he only took one hit and threw it when he realized it’s different? Or am I remembering wrong? I am so confused. If it was a one time thing why did his hair test came back positive? I love GD but this is bullshit.

I’m actually a very big Big Bang fan. But when I heard this story I was like why would you take something from somebody you don’t know. Have people not learned from what happened to Yunho when he was poisoned? And then when other people that smoked marijuana were held accountable for their actions I didn’t think it was fair that G Dragon wasnt.. Seems like he can get away with anything.

“Perhaps G Dragon is a 5 years old” because apparently he is easily believe on other and take whatever he was offered.
Have you ever thought that maybe when an idol makes a mistake like that it’s always the idol that comes up with that type of excuse?? I love big bang and especially g dragon and clearly what he did was wrong because you should never accept anything like a cigarette from anyone especially if its someone you dont know. But I believe this excuse came from the company telling him what to say. The company always thinks of ways to protect their idol so they think up of what the idol should say when they get interviewed. Even though I despise smoking hes human and he can do as he pleases because hes not underaged or guilty of anything. Dont accept things from strangers, G DRAGON OPPA HWAITING!!!! <3
