No no no, I’m not trolling, they seriously used the money on fucking pandas.
A charity established by a talent agency to support reconstruction in the northeast expects to shoulder several billion yen of the cost of leasing giant pandas from China for a zoo in Sendai.
Singer Masahiko Kondo, 47, who represents the Marching J charity set up by Johnny & Associates Inc., said it will cover the expenses estimated for the initial five-year period.
Who the fuck thought that was a good idea? Ugh.
Unsurprisingly, people have no idea why they did it.
“Money for pandas, do you support Masahiko Kondo’s idea?”, an online poll made by livedoor asked, and it received 1432 responses. The results were 5.3% for the idea and 94.7% against.
It’s such a ridiculous thing that if it didn’t involve a horrible natural disaster, I’d have to slip in a joke somewhere because it’s just mindbogglingly dumb.
Okay, pandas are an attraction and can make children happy, which is wonderful, but it’s hard to enjoy pandas when you … uh … don’t have a fucking home and shit, you know?
Way to go, Johnny’s Entertainment!

So instead of help rebuilding their own country they’re bringing in useless pandas for.. what? What exactly are they trying to accomplish here. Japanese companies are doing such a shitty job. I believe if they acted like a korean company they would be a lot more popular but sadly these businessmen have no idea what they’re doing.
What would that be like?
Keeping 99% of the profits and giving out only 1%?
:o
So wrong on so many levels
I pity the pandas that they choose…
