K-Nazis up in arms over plagiarism of T.O.P’s “Turn It Up” by Alabama

Well chop off my legs and call me “Shorty”, because it looks like the insane legion of K-pop fans have found yet another issue to rant about.

According to reports, an obscure video recently came to the attention of K-pop fans. The song, called “El Patron“, is a clear cover of T.O.P‘s “Turn It Up“.

Check out the train wreck below:

Yeah, okay, that shit sounds the exact fucking same as T.O.P oppar’s song. But, let’s get a few things straight here first:

1. This “artist”, who goes by the name Alabama, seems to be a nobody in the music world. This is an obscure video that has just been brought to light, and all of a sudden this guy is getting an army of K-Nazis knocking on his door and shitting on his front porch.

2. Sure, it’s plagiarism, but who the fuck really cares? This guy is not going to make any profit off this song, because in all honesty, the original song fucking sucked balls in the first place.

3. The comments about “true artists” coming up with their own original material is just rich, considering just a few years back this failed attempt came into being:

4. Briefly running through the comments section of the video reveals the ugly face of the K-pop fandom once again. Insults, derogatory put-downs, and racial slurs abound; they are basically treating this guy like dirt. And for what? Doing a shitty cover of an already shitty song.

I’m sure oppar would be proud of you guys.

  1. You didn’t even mention G-Dragon and Flo Rida.

  2. Well maybe after they heard ‘El Patron’, they realized how shitty ‘Turn It Up’ really is. So instead of telling oppa he sucked in music (and agree with everyone else their oppa sucked in music), they’re channeling all the rage to Alabama.

I’m glad somebody brought up “This Love” though.

YG always steals something but I love the title of this article. Sums everything nicely in a few brief words.

But yes also the whole Flo Rida and G-Dragon thing. Than to make things seems cool with Sony and their golden ticket Flo Rida, G-dragon did a remix maxi version of the song for his Shine A Light repackage.

The irony “Spring me Around’ was a shitty remix itself. God do the K-nazis have no sense of self worth. To steal a remix…that is low.

  4. Holy crap. The things they left and said on that video made ME feel like shit.

  5. Another Account

I actually would listen to this before I listen to TOP oppars song and I’m clearly a Big Bang fan. Also “This Love” was an extra wack song. Oh and what about them lifting Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together’. YG fans should find a seat and take several.

  6. only in kpop can you find people swarming somebody with spiteful comments.

Lots of music sounds the same, but you dont see people raging over it like Kpop fans. I remember when RHCP with Dani California was blamed for plagiarism but sensible people knows the difference from copying and a song having different progressions and rhythm.

I find it funny that I keep hearing plagiarism from the YG stanners.

    • forgot to say that the dude is probably sampling the back track of that shitty song. Lots of rappers do it.

I know that a lot of morons would have gone to spout their nonsense anyway, but I thought that allkpop writing that they should all send a message to ALABAMA saying what they think of the video was really irresponsible and quite mean.

I know that plagarism is wrong but so is bullying and inciting a mob of over-excited teenagers and posting them in this guy’s direction is just really low behaviour.

Plagarism is a matter for YG’s lawyers to deal with, not for fans to disgrace themselves over.

    I’m serious today.

  8. What song is the Bigbang This Love a copy of?

and did Bigbang buy rights to Mariah Carey’s We Belong Together or was that a cover?

  9. This is interesting the notes from the uploader are in french but he is raping in Spanish in the song he says the he is Colombian also I dont think he copy the lyrics because his version is really duty sometimes
why hate this guy he is probably not even famous he is just chilling with his friends

  10. It’s funny how K-pop fans appropriate Korean xenophobia and racism when it comes to foreign artists covering K-pop songs (or K-pop in general).

Look at the comments for Facebook Official, a Latina singer covering an MBLAQ song and even SE Asian groups (especially Viet) ripping off Beast and such. The vitriol these kids are spewing is disgusting, it speaks to their lack of intelligence and education. It’s also surprising considering that they’re expanding their horizons by listening to foreign music but yet they display such intolerant behavior when they feel others inappropriately copy K-pop (which is itself highly derivative as this article points out).

I love K-pop, but it really attracts such idiots. I would blame their age, but come on, I don’t remember being that dumb back then.

    • Well said. I mean, I did some dumb shit in my younger years, but this type of bigotry was certainly not on my to-do list.

    • why-is-it-so-hard-to-comment-on-this-site

kpop is idiocracy, but it is a fun idiocracy,we know what it is but still we like it and fap to it,it’s like drinking and smoking weed.

      • I can drink to that.

      • I like K-pop for the K-pop, when the fandoms collide it becomes almost intolerable. All the fansites are quiet and well behaved, they stick to what they like and have fun spazzing about the group, but then we all jump on AKP and then it’s a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

    • Oh kpop stans cant stand viet singers covering kpop songs. Also a lot of sm stans called this singer Natalie all types of N words and inappropriate things because she legally got the rights to redo Genie. Her version was called I just wanna dance. Her song was probably better than theirs because she can actually sing. But non the less they went nuts. Also the Sean Kingston thing with one of the Shinee songs. They basically disgrace themselves being so ignorant and racist but yet they always try to flip things around and say other foreigners are racist. Its a laugh honestly.

      • But y’know, when Kpop idols cover others song it’s an “honor that original singers had their song covered by oppa/unni!!” SM fans are quick to jump on the “Well SM bought rights to use it!!!!!” or 2NE1 sounds JUST like Madonna (and better!) that one dude sounding JUST like Hirai Ken (…yeah…..) and all that other BS.

  11. why-is-it-so-hard-to-comment-on-this-site

i wrote you tons of messages at the exo post,it’s too deep and i’m honestly lazy now, would you mind answering some of my questions there?

    • why-is-it-so-hard-to-comment-on-this-site

      that’s for aiyu tuc,,

    • why-is-it-so-hard-to-comment-on-this-site

its on the exo plastic,make-up post,,,should i just write it here instead?

  12. I actually liked “Turn it up”. Come at me with your humongous cocks! (I would be happy to receive them all)

But now I get why everyone around me wants to strangle me as soon as I put that song on. Thought it was just the general “hate” I get for listening to kpop. :o

    • Nah, brah. “Turn It Up” is basically T.O.P seeing how shitty he can make a song and still get people to jizz over it.

      • I guess I really must be out of my mind then. Didn’t even pay any attention to T.O.P before that song.

At least now I know which song to use whenever I want to piss off the people around me.

  13. I shall start an all-hate blog and insult every single kpop group + fan club. Then I will earn a fortune for all the views I receive (google, gimme all of the money!). When that is achieved, I will fly to Korea and buy one of their idols for one nasty ass night – including fisting and putting my dirty foot up his tight, little, pink asshole just to have him nibble off his own hershey kisses afterwards. Of course I will record everything just to upload it to mentioned blog.
Ultimate trolling level would be achieved for all eternity.

I seriously have awesome ideas, I would love to fuck a person like me if I was someone else.

    • I’d bone you, and you don’t even have the anatomy to please me.

      • I will make sure to grow several dicks just for you – seems like your sexy ass would be actually worth it.
But since that is quite unrealistic (unlike all of my other ideas) I could also molest you with any helpful device I can find or bring some hot guy friends who bang you while you bang me. Fucking bangception.

        • Can we just fuck already? Someone has to take responsibility to this hard-on.

        • Get me them midget slaves first!

If I get the midgets, you get the pussy.

        • I’m down for that, literally. I can see it now – me, giving you the shocker, while your plus one eats his dinner (i.e, my ball sack).

          I’ll consider inviting jChang4u …

        • Just pissed myself from happiness, IMMATOP.

jChang4u: You seem even more desperate than me for some action. You can suck my nipples while firing your meat-weapon all over my face.

        • No_Min: As long as I get to plow you raw and breed you while the midgets are jerking over us, anything is fine with me.

      • You guys are so fucking messed up, it’s actually starting to perturb me a bit. IATFB needs to sponsor an Asian Junkie bar crawl for staff and fans so I can meet you sick sons of bitches.

    • Smart bitch is smart.

  14. When ever I hear about plagiarism and kpop I think of Lady Gaga’s telephone and that fucking stupid bbiribom bberibom song

Some of these fans need to sit the hell down and stop losing it over dumb shit like this.

  15. These bitches need to have several fucking seats and staple themselves on them so they won’t fall off.

  16. Super Cool Update:
if you think this guy was fucking awesome(like I did) well you will love this girls

they are call TBC girls and they are the most awesome thing evarrr!
they also got a lot of hate back then when they release their awesome covers people say the imitation is the biggest form of flattering just like kpop imitates american pop music all the time :)

  17. VIP is one of the most retarded fandoms. You should know this going into any comments section.

    Have pity.

  18. I’m disappointed~ of all the songs he could rip off, he picked a shitty one. :( I like hearing covers tbh.

  19. Haven’t these people ever heard the saying, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”? There’s a ton of truth to that.

  20. This probably only increased their attitude of superiority to outside music niches.

Kinda reminded me of the f(x) disaster too, just shows how shallow the music industry can be sometimes.

  21. Obsessive fans just… ugh. Seriously I always think when I see this stupid behavior “Is this what your favs want you to do? Act like close-minded rapid ignorant idiots….? If so, maybe you should leave the music alone…”

  22. Plagiarism is plagiarism.

Although G-Dragon’s version of “This Love” is regarded as a cover since Adam Levine is credited as the original composer or whatever on Big Bang’s first album.

    • Sure plagiarism is plagiarism, but allkpop is not even 100% sure that this IS plagiarism. There is no evidence for or against any rights that were bought of the song. Furthermore, like I said, it’s just the context of it all that bothers me. This guy is pretty much a nobody. Why bother picking on this guy?

    • Is the guy even selling it commercially?

If not, what makes it different from a cover song or freestyling over the beat, which underground rappers do all the time?

  23. Lol. It’s always fun to watch an angry mob.

  24. I play Turn It Up in the car when I’m driving with my mom, then we sing along and crack up every time he says monkey magic. xD
