It was revealed earlier that Open World Entertainment CEO Jang Seok Woo was arrested recently on charges of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape, but as the details come out, it paints an even worse picture of the events.
According to industry representatives, the CEO has been a regular of underground clubs and enjoyed a night out frequently.
One revealed, “When he got drunk, his hands were always the problem. He’d sometimes grope the bodies of female employees.” Another who requested to remain anonymous added, “The entertainment industry is already well aware of his atrocities. He’s one of the worst customers you want when drunk.”
The girl group trainees he allegedly assaulted are no longer with the agency, but when they were, the CEO had managed them himself. All of the trainees were reported to have dormed together.
Another official that knows the inner workings of the company commented, “There used to be rumors that a few of the trainees actually used to be prostitutes, but that was proven to be false… The CEO took care of everything from their debut preparations to training, and even personally drove them around in a van himself.”
Police also revealed that they have received more shocking reports of the CEO allegedly forcing male idol group members to sexually assault his female trainees. The CEO is denying the reports.
I’m guessing the articles don’t mention him by name for privacy reasons or something, but unless the reports about it being the CEO are wrong, the man in question is Jang Seok Woo.
Anyway, yeah, so basically he allegedly used his power to assault trainees who would essentially have no choice but to say yes. Even if they didn’t say yes, the charges mentioned include rape, so he may have just done it anyway.
Worse yet, he supposedly took it to the next level by forcing other people under his power to assault the female trainees. That’s like a different level of twisted, really. The kind of shit that a serial killer might do.
Any word on any of the female trainees being underage? I see that as a possibility as well.
Yikes.
Asian Junkie Asian pop. Without discretion.
It’s weird to not mention his name because.. .who else is the CEO? If they said “CEO of a specific entertainment agency….” but yeah not like that matters…
Every time I hear of “so-and-so forcing male A to perform sexual acts om female B) I keep thinking about this cast I was watching on TV when two robbers/murders broke in this friends’ house, told the dudes to perform sexual acts on the girls.. all of them go outside nude and the killers shot them dead except for one girl, who fortunately had some hair accessory that blocked the bullet from hitting the back of her neck. Not like the CEO dude did all of that but… I just always get reminded of that story and then get all paranoid (I was young hearing about that so I start getting weirded out a lot) and just can’t begin to image how the involved people felt doing that…
Right? They basically name him by revealing all that info.

Anyway, yeah, that’s what I mean by the serial killer tendencies. People who do that get off on making others suffer or feel pain.
Ewwwwww! what a fucking loonie!
That’s so fucked up. A CEO that abuses power.
He should be castrated <__<
What a piece of trash.
“Forcing male idol group members to sexually assault his female trainees”. How can you force someone to do that?
His male idols are pieces of shit too. You can just say “No, fuck you”, report to the police, walk away and get another job.
I dunno if it would really happen exactly that way though because it’ll be their word against his and if there’s no actual ‘proof’ then the police probably won’t do anything (I dunno how much rape/sexual assault cases gets taken seriously or go about in Korea anyway.) This goes on in a lot of agencies and some super huge thing must’ve broke down for this CEO to actually get busted (like they said in the previous article people were undercover so they must’ve had some big tip or lots of dirt on this dude for them to get all of this info as well as maaaaany people really not liking him; which was also mentioned too.) I’m not defending those male idols or whatever but hm.. I wouldn’t know what else was going on behind the scenes either.
Yeah, their careers would be over and who knows what else would be in jeopardy.
These companies probably have miles of dirt.
Depends if he forcibly made them or threatened them.
But yeah, in certain situations, they could have walked away.
oh come on…who wouldnt rape some of those bitches? its not as though they dont want or expect it…its only ‘rape’ now that hes been arrested and his business is goin down..
wow… just.. wow i mean, i have only been into kpop for less than a year and my vision of the industry changed really quikly from extremely positive to completely esceptical.
the jyj deal, t-ara being starved, the phisycal mistreats and now this. :|
im wondering how many of this guys are out there
am i wrong if i say that the kpop enviroment is pretty much fucked up?
Well it’s not just Kpop that does it but many other entertainment companies around the world so it’s not *new* …many places have their dark sides and things that they do & still keep on running.
yeah, but i haven’t seen any other industry being so hypocritical about it :/
…Japan? And I’m pretty sure many other countries too.. I know I may not hear about it because I don’t read/look into every country
im conscious that this may be happening two blocks from my place, but what creeps me out about this, is that shit like this happens and is aknowledged by everyone in the industry yet all the idols must keep a smile on their faces selling inocence and aegyo
That’s business though.
Not saying it’s right, but world is harsh man.
Its not just the entertainment industry, its a much wider problem.
Yeah that’s definitely true. Countries/governments knowing women (and men too) are getting raped 24/7 and even as babies and don’t do crap about it? People getting kidnapped and trafficked… Children being sex slaves. Of course it happens more often in other countries but still nonetheless happens everywhere. Many of these issues are everywhere and well, as guilty as most are, don’t always pay attention to it until it’s brought up in the news.
Welcome to business.
SMH. He’s a freak. Watching and forcing people to assault one another. For you to do it yourself is one thing, but to make people do it to each other?
Sometimes I questioned myself, why in the hell I wanted to be an idol? Then I look at all the groups out here, like SNSD, Bigbang, yadda yadda yadda. I wonder, what’s going on with them behind closed doors?
For Big Bang, GD is probably screwing TOP in the hotel’s pool.
Did you really want to be an idol or was that a rhetorical question? Just curious.
When I was about 14 or 15 (20 now), I seriously wanted to fly to Japan or Taiwan to have a career in the entertainment business. I’ve taken headshot photos, took up dancing, I wanted to go all out. As I look into it more and gotten older and more humble, I slowly realizing myself that it wasn’t something for me.
Wow that’s hardcore. Thanks for sharing.
I’m not sure if even the older kids know what they’re getting into. Someone I know who’s a freshman in college dropped out to become a JYP trainee… To each her own I guess.
Sick bastard needs to burn
This is serious shit, this pig’s doing is not new. i found this about Karam from DNA
http://www.allkpop.com/2010/04/d-nas-garam-confesses-of-being-sexually-harassed-by-men
This article in from 2 years ago, the kid confessed he got sexually harassed by older men, but because they are not well known group no one actually cared/believed.
Hope this helps you uncover the pot of crap in Kpop
When I heard this I thought about that article too. I wonder if the Open World Ent CEO had something to do with it or if it is their previous ceo when they were still XING since according to Junhyung something was up with that ceo as well
If he’s involved … I can’t imagine the mental damage.
Good find. Yikes.
Fucking sick. I sure hope the equality field between men and women in Asia can be leveled out soon. Not saying that America is perfect though.
