A rumor is going around that SNSD will soon form their first subunit featuring Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica.
Rumors of Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica forming Girls’ Generation’s first-ever subunit has been circulating within the K-Pop industry. The rumors were first circulated by one music publishing company and have spread like wildfire across various internet communities. Initially, the company posted, “Our songwriter’s song has been selected for one of the songs in Girls’ Generation’s subunit group’s (Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica) new album, so we’re busy arranging the piece” on its online message board.
The music publishing company is well known for having strong ties with SM Entertainment and has worked with Girls’ Generation, SHINee, DBSK, and Super Junior.
On April 12, a representative of SM Entertainment vaguely stated, “Details have not been finalized yet.”
Quite frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t do this earlier.
For one, it’s a way for SM Entertainment to leech even more money from SNSD’s gigantic fanbase. For two, it’s helpful for the careers of the girls who are put in the subunits, because they have a chance for more exposure and popularity.
If they were aiming for a vocal group, then Seohyun is an obvious exclusion, but the rumored trio has a solid combination of everything, since Seohyun has a tendency to be lacking presence and personality.

They could put Seohyun and Yoona together and call it “Seohyun and the backup dancer Seohyun sings for”

If this group succeeds—which is probably will—it’ll make it even more glaringly obvious which members aren’t needed in SNSD or not and maybe the Sone fanbase will implode upon itself.
I haven’t read any of the comments on AKP or Soompi yet, but I predict a lot of Jessica-bashing for some reason. Or more of that “___ is better than ____!!”

I honestly don’t give a fuck about SNSD as much as I used to since they became more overrated as they gain more fans but I think Seorobot should be in there and make it a 4 members unit.
They were probably just saving Seohyun to go with Yuri and Yoona. That will be a fucking party.
Out of all of them, they had to put these three stooges together. People gonna praise Tae and Jess more since I guess they’re a bias to a lot of people. Especially Jessiblah. If I had a nickel every time the skank’s name been mentioned. Wouldn’t hurt to add one more, or split the rest into threes so all of them would be in sub-units. What is Jessica good at, exactly? She can’t sing or dance. Most of the other girls ins SNSD are at least partially skilled at one or the other.
