T-ara set to add two members to the fold + move the announcement date to April 6th

Core Contents Media previously announced that T-ara would be going through a member shuffling, and according to one source, CEO Kim Kwang Soo will be adding two members to the group.

According to Review Star, a representative of Core Contents Media told them over the phone, “It’s true that T-ara will become a nine member group. Two members will be added, and we will reveal the details on April 6th.”

With the addition of two members, the current seven member group will become a nine member group. The only other nine member girl group at the moment is Girls’ Generation, and thus has caused many questions to surface about whether this change is to further compete against Girls’ Generation.

The source within the agency also revealed, “The new member(s) that will be added are trainees within the agency. There was a previous speculation that they would join Co-Ed, but that’s not true.”

As long as Eunjung and Soyeon are still in the group (Hyomin/Cyclops (Jiyeon) to a lesser extent), I don’t care much what happens, as they could cut the rest of the members and it wouldn’t affect my feelings on the group at all.

I am, however, looking forward to who they add, since it could make things interesting if they are talented and/or hot.

Hell, even if they are terrible at music and ugly it’s still interesting. Would that be the ultimate troll job?

Originally, the announcement for the member shift was supposed to happen on April 7th, but they moved it up to April 6th.

Fans have been holding their breaths for what’s to come, especially since T-ara has been on a tremendous roll these past two years with hits after hits under their belt. Fans need not wait much longer, as everything will finally be settled on April 6th.

An official of Core Contents Media commented, “We can’t confirm anything right now. We originally planned to make the announcement on the 7th, but we have instead decided to pull it up to the 6th. We will reveal everything then.”

Fans are understandably mad, but since they aren’t actually cutting any members, there probably isn’t a ton of downside here. Then again, I’m not the type of person who invests emotionally in idol groups.

It’s an unnecessary change, but an interesting one, nevertheless.

  1. Yeah was a bit bummed to hear they would still add in members, but pretty darn happy they didn’t cut any (the past 3 weeks waiting were terrible for me lol).

And as for the member, I freakin hope we get one that knows English, cause that would be awesome.

Still think the CEO is stupid though.

  2. It would have made SO much more sense to get rid of Boram and Qri (love em, but they don’t contribute anything :/)… adding Hwayoung took forever to get over, why would you think adding two more nugus is a good idea?

    • I do wonder though how this will effect Hyomins lines and Jiyeons screen time? I mean they already get so little as it is… lol ;)

Seriously, I hope Eunjung actually gets some lines in this new line up (and I swear if one of the girls is a rapper I’m done. :/).

  3. Pissed they didn’t cut Boram and Hwayoung and Qri.

Well, I knew Boram was gonna stick around because her dad got her into the group.

  4. I dont get why they wanted to add two new members.
I think its a pointless move. Adding just hwayoung was pretty controversial, and now two more people….

I hope these two new members have some kind of nip slip like hwa to make it more exciting :D

  5. Why is CCM is so dumb ugh

  6. There is someone in T-ara that actually sing???

All I hear in fagwars is how they are plastic and untalented VS They are so versatil cute/sexy….. but I’ve never heard “her voice is flawless” or “Did you heard that high note?”

  7. what they are not going to dump Boram? worse day of my life

  8. Yeah – as long as the two new members are hot, I don’t care.

I’m pretty sure this moron CEO thinks there is something magical about the number “9″ that makes SNSD successful.

    There isn’t.

  9. I guess I will just sit back and watch sones and whatever T-ara’s fan club is called fight it out over the number 9.

  10. If it turns out good, then props to KKS. If not, may the restless souls of the children he victimized get their vengeance and take his humanity as an exchange for what he did.
I bet their training camps and studios look like something you see from The Human Centipede or something -shudders-

  11. All I have to say is that that’s a cheap ass looking album cover(if it is the cover). The photohop is horrendous. Cheap as fuck.

Tara is boring as hell. Nothing wow-worthy except for Roly Poly or whatever it was called. Though, they seem mildly successful, just adding new members is just going to bring them down and mess up the whole vibe, but then again all the cameras are just going to be on that member with the creepy eyeliner, Jiyeon(?), I believe.
