“Manatsu No Sounds Good“, AKB48‘s latest single, has sold a staggering 1,617,000 copies in its debut week, setting a new record.
AKB48’s newest single “Manatsu no Sounds good!” topped the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking Chart for the week of June 4th by selling a whopping 1,617,000 copies in its first week of sales. This sales figure marked a new record, as it is the highest sales on Oricon’s single sales chart for a first week.
In the sales of the first day, “Manatsu no Sounds good!” sold 1,171,000 copies, and this also marked a new record as Oricon daily chart.
I’ve said this before, but even though I don’t listen to their music (besides “Beginner“, that shit was legit), I do like certain individual members, but what I like the most is how fucking mad they make people.
Fans of both J-pop and K-pop rivals erupt in anger whenever AKB48 releases a music video or sets another sales record, and all those tears are so gloriously delicious.
AKB48 are playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers, and the other groups are PISSED. Their cries of “sluts” and “voting gimmick” and “fan service” make things awesome, as they get so bitter and jealous when their favorites are going out and doing the exact same shit but suck at it and are getting shit rained on them from the group at the top.
It’s inherently amusing to watch the butthurt pile up.

The dude that created the system of how they work and how he owns their fans brains is just amazing. He’s just awesome, he should win like a man of the year award.
