Fox‘s “American Idol” shot Korean American Han Heejun into the American consciousness, and he recently revealed on tvN‘s “People Inside” that he plans on signing with American agency, CAA.
Heejun recently sat down for an interview with tvN‘s ‘Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside‘ and revealed, “I am planning to sign with major label CAA, the agency home to George Clooney and Brad Pitt. I am receiving a lot of offers to feature in movies and various situational comedies.”
His voice is solid, but not spectacular, yet I’m encouraged nevertheless. I think he’ll have a decent amount of success singing, but his personality is really what won people over on “American Idol”, so the movie/television route seems promising as well.
Just a reminder: While your faves and their companies are spending millions to hype themselves up, this awkward motherfucker walked onto the set of “American Idol”, charmed the pants off everybody, and is now more mainstream than all of the idols you stan combined.

What really made me cackle is that he said he was rejected by Korean companies and fell into depression about it.
Not hard to imagine based on who you see these companies pick. Yeah they take a big talent once in a while, but most of these idol are picked for their pretty face and nothing. What we see is years of training, plastic surgery and marketing. Heejun had no shot in Korea. They would have called him fat and ugly to his face and sent him on his way.
I hope he makes it. Just so I can cackle some more.

His face is so annoying, I just have this nagging urge to punch him.
He needs to work on his voice more. He’s got the goods, but it’s not quite there (best way I can explain it). He would be a great singer and probably would reach to Charice status. He ain’t THAT ugly, he’s….a notch down from average.
I didn’t watch the show so maybe he looks worse than the photo here?
But T.O.P looks pretty bad too before he was discovered. But after he lost weight and spruce himself up, look at him now!
You could never tell that there was such a handsome face underneath the unpolished exterior then.
That’s his image though. It’s on purpose. Doubt they change it too much.
