It was recently announced that Kuroki Meisa would be starring in NHK‘s “Yae No Sakura“, which is the vaunted Taiga drama.
On the 24th, it was announced Kuroki Meisa would star in next year’s NHK Taiga drama “Yae no Sakura”. Although the popular actress Kuroki has played the heroine in many dramas before, this is her first time acting in a Taiga drama. Kuroki famously had a sudden marriage with Akanishi Jin, and is expecting a baby in October.
So she’ll be a working mother by then, which is a good thing, since her husband Jin Akanishi is getting bent over by Johnny Kitagawa as a result of his transgressions against the agency.
Contrary to tabloid reports (shocking, I know), I guess she wasn’t blacklisted from the industry and wasn’t on the verge of selling her body.
There goes any chance I had.
I don’t watch Taiga dramas but by the way ratings are portraying them lately… they’re not doing too well. Maybe her (by then) last year controversy would spark people to watch it (for like, a few weeks) But I honestly don’t see it doing well though.. I loathe her music/voice but her acting is just… average. (didn’t see Ueno’s acting in it but I prefer her other roles/acting over Kuroki but… Ueno isn’t sexy like her either….)
Well I guess since Jin won’t be having much to do next year, he’ll be a stay-at-home dad… more or less ^^; (now I gotta check out that Abe Hiroshi drama…)
Shitty ratings for a Taiga drama are still higher than most everything else though.
Well they’re usually are though, right? Now if Nanako stars in something again being an emotionless housekeeper… then I dunno lol
