When I first mentioned that the video of SNSD‘s Jessica‘s fail pitch had showed up on Gawker Media‘s Deadspin, I made a tongue-in-cheek comment about how she had finally broken into mainstream America.
Well, now she’s been on ESPN‘s “Pardon The Interruption“, and apparently fans are actually proud of this moment.
Whether the fans are insane or sad or both, I do find it amusing that after all the marketing money these companies are throwing down to get K-pop into America, it’s a video of the worst first pitch in history that gets them actual mainstream attention.
Awesome.
Asian Junkie Asian pop. Without discretion.
LOOOL still laugh at her epic fail :$
~_~
if you end up on PTI, it is NEVER good.
Other groups should do the same if they want to break into the American market. Its relatively easy, just ruin something in a sport that is born and bred in America….only way you will get recognized.
Seriously….how can she throw that fucking bad. Tia (chocolat) >>>>> jessica with the ceremonial first throw.
What gets me about that vid is how hard that guy fails at pronouncing a fucking easy ass name like that..
The most famous ‘Jung’ is the psychologist Carl Jung, which is pronounced just like Kornheiser said it on PTI – with a “y” sound.
So, not as stupid as it might seem.
No, its still fucking stupid…to assume that instead of being pronounced as it should be* according to the rules of the english language, a korean surname would be pronounced the same as a pretty obscure historical german.
*incorrect but as close as it gets.
pretty obscure historical german name.
so this is her mission why she didn’t participate in twinkle!!!good job SM!!
she is going to hear from playboy pretty soon
I agree with this, like, 1000x
Once SM gets desperate for America’s attention they’re going to be asking Heff for a ‘tasteful’ photo shoot, right?
Never ever going to happen.
Well played SM well played. She throws a crappy pitch and gets world attention.
This is quite embarrassing. I am not someone who excels in some sports only my fav sports… so I feel her pain. It feels embarrassing when you are a girl and you are doing a sport, and you know other more atheletically blessed guys are looking at you and you are probably going to screw up anyway because you hadn’t had much practice doing this.
it wasn’t that embarrassing if you don’t have crushes on the athletic guy watching you!if your’e not that confident, why not approach him and ask him to teach you.
