I was supposed to post this as a reply earlier but technology likes to screw me over so her it goes again
I think that I may know of a few reasons why Koreans seem to have the worst ideas of beautiful people. I will need people to validate these for me though….
1) people are worried about what others will think of them. I’m not sure if you guys remember, but a while ago, Asian Junkie had an article about a Japanese porn star wanting to come to Korea for work. While many Koreans portrayed nothing but disgust about it in public, many of them would most likely return home to rewatch and fap to many of her vids. I think that this may be the same thing with Nana. In a country that hates anything not sugar-coated and aegyo-filled, After School comes of as evil, sultry, sinful, slutty, whatever. Many people will say that they prefer others with more “innocent” images like Yoona, Jessica, and Suzy in public, but go home to look at pictures like these.
2) Korea has this strange obsession with small faces. I’ve seen this through many things, like most common areas and procedures for plastic surgery and even watching television shows from there. I swear to God, any show I watch that unfortunately has that creepy horror-movie-old-lady-that’s-a-ghost-or-some-weird-witch-monster-thing-that-eventually-kills-someone-looking Yoona has at least one person that raves on and about how tiny her face is while Yoona is just being her usually fake coy self doing some weird creepy-ass smile that reminds you of wet leather or some shit. It’s weird as fuck that they pay attention to that, but whatever, I’m apparently a jealous bitch or don’t have the ability to see/appreciate the beauty thats supposedly there because I’m just not on her fans’ level (?)
Basically, Nana’s beautiful face wouldn’t be considered AS beautiful as Suzy, Horsica or the Creepy Old Lady Yoona because of her face being bigger. People in Korea rave about the angle of Jessica’s and Yoona’s jaw (I just hear it about them, not Suzy. Oh well, Suzy is cute to me) and how they’re in the shape of a V when looking straight on. Many get surgery on their jaws to chop off huge portions of them. Shit’s messed up. Nana’s is more square and I guess that’s a no-no in Korea.
But yeah, please can someone confirm these for moi….?

Companies spend their money in make people believe their idols are the big shit. Put them everywhere, TV, magazines, news site, etc….. they become the trend and it look like in Korea is forbbiden go against that, so people will just flow with it.
