Core Contents Media CEO Kim Kwang Soo recently told the tale of how he discovered the newest member of T-ara, Dani.
He did so willfully to the press, not under the pressure of police interrogation, which was interesting since the way he found her was … uh … a tad creepy.
Core Contents Media, T-ara’s parent company, recently revealed how the young American became the newest member of the group. “Dani was cast on the street by Kim Kwang Soo,” said a representative for CCM. “It was his first streetside casting in his 30-year-long career in entertainment.”

I’m sure he though she was 12, too. Was probably bummed when he found out that she was actually in her mid-20′s, so he was determined this time around to get a real 12 year old.

This is not surprising… It’s like those elite model search Look of the Year or something.
The winners… they are usually looking for as young as possible, like 14 – 16. Takes a few years to launch them, by the time they hit it big, they have a few years to earn lots of money before they are considered too old, like above 24.
Models and idols are different. I think they are similar in some ways but still, different stuff to sell. Models sell clothes while idols sell sex covered in rainbows and unicorns.
