Zhang Ziyi is coming out swinging in regards to charges that she made millions of dollars prostituting herself.
The shocking allegations have not been taken lightly by Zhang, who vehemently denies the claims and is threatening legal action.
“The accusations made against award-winning actress Zhang Ziyi are completely false and defamatory,” her rep told Gossip Cop in a statement. “There is no truth in any of the allegations that have come forth which are a result of calculated cruel intentions against a well respected established actress. Legal repercussions are ensuing and these slanderous reports will not be tolerated in any way.”
According to E! News, the actress’s lawyer has already sent a letter to The Apple Daily demanding an apology and full retraction. She also posted the letter on her blog on the Chinese social-media site Weibo, and called the allegations “completely ridiculous.”
I previously explained the relation to Japanese and Korean entertainment in original article that laid out the accusations against her.
While there was quite a bit of discussion in it, I’ll just say that the point wasn’t to accuse or defend her against the charges, but that it speaks volumes about the entertainment culture when we’re basically sitting here and saying, “Well … I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.“
I don’t think she needs the money that bad. 5 million USD annually is plenty as an actress. Seems to me like a campaign to fuck up her career.
But if she really did it, good for her, 5 hotel nights a year and no more memorizing scripts or rehearsing.
Yeah – I think the amount of money here is what makes this different.
Very few women would turn down $1.5m to have sex.
I think it’s just as likely that this story is false. But if it is true, I wouldn’t think less of a woman who would take that offer.

according to the internet, her net worth is around 15mil…so these deals are VERY large amounts of money to her…in fact she may have doubled her net worth..which is huge.

The allegations are that she made $110m doing this. I think it’s plausible that a woman worth $15m would still be motivated to add another $110m to her net worth.

What’s the difference between someone taking a couple hundred thousand and someone taking 1.5 million?
One is just a larger number, but the person is still just sleeping with someone for money. Why should one person be labeled “a dirty whore”? I mean, both people are doing the exact same thing. It’s kinda like you’re making one person seem like they’re better than the other.
The bigger question should be: Why did this guy pay $1.5 million to fuck her? I get that she’s famous and hot or whatever, but 1.5 million his ass is stupid.

15 mil is a lot of money and I think anyone is bluffing if he/she says they are not tempted by that kind of money.
After all, you can disengage your mind during sex and it is only for a limited duration of time while he is still interested in you.
That being said, I was just imagining, supposing the old man liked your pretty mom and wants to sleep with her for 15 mil. Being her son or daughter, I might encourage her to do it, that is a lot of money!

Why would living solely for the principle of amassing money be bad? If someone lived like that, who are we to judge? Unless his action infringed on the happiness of others, I see no problem.
