Evil genius at work.
T-ara‘s spectacular blockbuster-style music video for “Day By Day” was released earlier in the month, but they only just recently came out with a dance version of the music video. While fans were excited to get their hands on more T-ara content, the truth of the matter is that Core Contents Media CEO Kim Kwang Soo and member Hyomin had a darker motivation to make the second music video.
Even though the dance version contains the same Jonte Moaning-choreographed routines, Hyomin took over the editing reins for a specific and twisted reason. She informed exclusively to Asian Junkie that she developed and used her seizure inducing style with the sole intention of killing off the segment of the human population with epilepsy.
“People with chronic neurological disorders are like, totally annoying and stuff“, Hyomin eloquently explained. “iMovie is the best for the flashing effect I call editing, it’s almost as if anybody can do it.”
Doesn’t your CEO have a problem with such immoral actions?
“Of course not“, she sneered. “He totally endorses what I’m doing, something about how they don’t work hard enough and need to be replaced or something. Need to set an example for the human race, was it? Whatever.”
Hyomin’s extensive video editing credits not only include Gang Kiz’s “Honey Honey” and SPEED’s “Lovey Dovey Plus”, but also Kanye West‘s “All Of The Lights“, “The Bourne Supremacy“, and “The Bourne Ultimatum“. All of which made her the perfect choice for a music video meant to attack people with epilepsy.

CEO Kim Kwang Soo confessed the root of his hatred, saying, “American pop artist Prince had epilepsy, so it’s a disease that only dirty foreigners have. It’s a result of the Western dirty sex pop music and Western dirty dark artists.” He continued, “Honestly? That 23,000 Euros that Eunjung lost? I took it, doubled my money through insurance I had on it, and am using that to make these obscenely pointless versions of the same song. Get on my level.”
Indeed.

As far as the results go, both Kim Kwang Soo and Hyomin will be ecstatic to learn that the music video’s constant, repetitive flash editing has been sending thousands of people to the hospital ever since its release.
Netizens have complained, writing, “Why was there no warning? My head is ALL fucked up right now“, ”Hyomin unnir wouldn’t do this! I bet it was that troll bitch, Boram! BAN BRIDGES IN KOREA!”, and “My eyes are in more pain today than that one time I was forced to imagine SNSD’s Hyoyeon naked.”
When asked about the complaints, Hyomin responded:

Don’t be an asshole, subscribe to TESTAMENTVM‘s YouTube channel.
It’s a parody, you idiots. If this pissed you off, it was probably my fault (IATFB). Good thing I don’t care.
Asian Junkie Asian pop. Without discretion.
And she remains cute while trolling.
I couldn’t get through more than half a minute of it.

Do people actually watch that before it gets released and think to themselves, “Yeah, this will be awesome.”

I’m gonna watch the mv to see if my eyes start to hurt. I hope so.

Still better than Super Junior’s mv.
