2012 Olympics: News anchor Yang Seung Eun trolls netizens & media with her hats

If you hadn’t noticed by now, Asian Junkie isn’t exactly a fan of Korean journalism. IATFB takes a jab at it every chance he gets, and as if attempting to further prove his point, Korean reporters have gone and released another onslaught of useless shit, this time about an anchorwoman and her choice of style.

But why?

MBC anchorwoman Yang Seung Eun was spotted giving the news in an all black outfit and a hat on the episode of “News Desk” that aired two Saturdays ago. Netizens got riled up by her poor choice of style, leaving comments like, “I thought she was dressed for a funeral” and “Doesn’t seem appropriate for relaying the Olympics“.

In short, they mad.

Yang Seung Eun responded to the ‘controversy’ in a separate interview by explaining that she had changed her outfit right before she was to go on live after hearing about swimmer Park Tae Hwan being disqualified. “My original outfit wasn’t black or of another darker color. Upon hearing that Park Tae Hwan had been disqualified, I didn’t feel that it was right to go on air wearing a bright color so I switched it out. I’m sure that I would have been criticized either way had I been wearing an outfit of brighter color.”

Right she is.

What’s worth mentioning is that it’s not only her choice of clothing that put her on the chopping block for netizens. About 100 days into MBC’s strike, Yang Seung Eun withdrew from the strike “for religious reasons” and “abandoned all of her co-workers and friends” to grab the anchor position on “News Desk”.

As such, the Korean media appears to be taking jabs at her for seemingly no reason at all, but in actuality, they’ve just hidden the true intentions behind their useless articles revolving around criticizing her style of dress.

As of a few days ago, over 300 articles have been released JUST ON HER POOR CHOICE OF HATS ALONE.

I mean, come on … you could be writing articles of actual substance or maybe interviewing her on her decision to back stab her friends to climb up the corporate ladder or something FUCKING INTERESTING, but instead you’re taking jabs at her hats and giving them stupid nicknames like ‘the dim sum hat’. Yeah, I bet that cuts to the core.

Why are they skirting around the real issue here?

Today, it’s a yellow hat.

Yang Seung Eun finally speaks up about her outfit controversy, “I have 17 more hats prepared…”

Basically, “COME AT ME, YOU HATIN’ ASS BITCHES!”

She gets the gold medal in Trolling for South Korea at the 2012 Olympics.
