Okay, this dude/chick has major issues.
Like The Muzik is/was a Chinese fansite for 4minute, but whoever is running it completely flipped the fuck out because HyunA has a solo release coming up. I’m not sure why that means he/she has to close a site dedicated to the whole group, but rational decision making has never been the forte of fandoms.
Anyway, besides shutting the site down, the owner has resorted to relentlessly hating on HyunA, calling her a bitch, a whore, and saying her and her parents only love money.
It says “bitch” in English but the Korean means “whore”. I think you get the gist of it.
Here fans tell HyunA not to be a bitch or a whore, but she’s like “fuck it, I’ll do it live” and does it anyway, according to the imagination of the owner.
The inference here is that her parents sell their daughter as a whore to the public for money and that HyunA sells sex for money.
Then, in closing, the owner leaves this confusing pile of shit:

Wow, man. I seriously don’t understand this at all.
1) Why get so worked up about this event in particular? Okay, so HyunA gets more attention than others, so what? Is that her fault? No.
2) Why do people seriously believe she’s a slut? I don’t get that either. She’s marketed however her company tells her to be. Do people get that these aren’t actual artists, specifically because their concepts and music are chosen by the company?
It’s comical that the logic of these people is that because she plays a sexualized minx role on stage, she’s a gigantic megawhore in private. Yeah, and actresses who get nude and portray prostitutes on movies/television are real whores too…

Most idols split the percentage of money they get from the albums, the performances, the TV dramas, the CFs, the variety shows etc. into equal parts between the members.
The only exception is when apart from the idol activities, they do other work such as composing.
So Junhyung earns 10% because of his idol activities and 25% because of his other work.
Meanwhile the rest of B2ST only get the 10%.

From a perspective it’s sad but from another I think people view the matter wrongly.
The female self-conscious is still very young. Patriarchy and male chauvinism was the norm for generations from the beginning of civilization. This had a lot to do with the instinctual female and male roles descending from our early socially underdeveloped ancestors – the males acted as hunters and protectors while the women as home makers and care takers.
As civilization started to shine these instinctual roles changed little. With time the world has become more and more difficult and what once meant hunting for prey became hunting for power and wealth. Power and wealth control the world thus the men hunting for it had the lead while the women who were never really associated with prey hunting were left out.
Although there are a few examples of female domination in those fields, they were all exceptions strengthening the rule.
So my point is that the idea of opposing the instinctual female role is very new for all participants and therefor it should be treated as a child that just started to explore it’s possibilities. It will take centuries and generations for society to go against what we’ve held onto from the beginning of humanity.
From this perspective what we have right now isn’t sad but a great accomplishment. Surely there are those who still follow old customs but their number is decreasing generation to generation. They will never fade away completely but eventually there will be a time when “slut shaming” is considered by the majority as the wrong choice of opinion.

I think the point should be that the reasons why there isn’t so much solidarity is because the concept that a female acting very sexual (and that being okay) is still a relatively new concept in history. Girls are still brought up thinking our role in society is to be “ladylike” or pure, calm, and just all around sweet. So when someone goes against our preconceived roles its considered wrong.
It’s actually not surprising there isn’t solidarity, girls are brought up with a lot of mixed messages on whats the acceptable way to act. You can kind of think of now as a transitional period for women. I think it’s getting better though.
I don’t disagree with your conclusions or anything, but I cringe really hard whenever someone tries to tie any modern societal expectations they back to “an instinctual level” or back to hunter-gatherer societies. It’s been a long, long fucking time since then, and we make very complex societies that influence each other and build on themselves. You really can’t talk about modern behavior in terms of hunter-gatherers. We haven’t been hunter-gatherers in something like 12,000 years. Whatever you have to say about modern gender roles, it has nothing to do with actual cavemen.
Agricultural society is way more relevant than hunter-gatherers. We never really left behind the agricultural revolution because that’s still what we rely on for food, even if we’ve branched out into a widely specialized society in the last two millennia.
Books like “Guns, Germs, And Steel” would suggest that factors which stem back thousands and thousands of years have a very real effect on what we do even today. Especially in terms of haves and have-nots.
Not sure I buy the whole “hunter-gather to hunting wealth/fame” stuff, but surely the centuries of engrained thinking and whatever evolutionary adjustments have an effect.
I think you’re generally right in a historical sense, but I do think these feelings would exist regardless. Simply because we are in sort of a constant competition with each other.
