How ridiculous can Jeremy Scott make his designs and still pass it off as fashion to K-pop idols?
Well he found out just recently.
While he’s always been sort of terrible, in my opinion, Scott has managed to maintain a relationship with the K-pop fandom (especially Blackjacks) because he’s relevant in the fashion world. However, as of late, he’s been digging himself a grave with the SNSD/2NE1 voting comments controversy and … uh … whatever the FUCK he put on Dara.
Nobody can possibly take that seriously, and judging by the reaction of netizens and Blackjacks, they don’t for once. The unicorn dress was one thing but … fuck.

YES, a huge waste. They used to actually wear innovative, personalized clothing; art compared to this- and a few of his peices here and there. I was majorly dissapointed with the concert photos, and that they continue to name drop his ass when every tired group in kpop has worn his clothing. I’ve lost interest.

That dress is a piece of art compared to what Jeremy Scott designs. I mean seriously look at the design, the colors and the pattern. The train of the dress could’ve been longer though.

My main thought while watching that shit storm was that GD tries way too hard. And the video itself had too much going on. I think it would have been better with a clear story line or something.
Like GD wakes up the mv starts out all black and white, everybody is dressed alike, suddenly GD eats some magic cereal that makes him stand out with bright clothing, making him look one of a kind. Everybody starts dancing or something then towards the end of the mv GD realizes that he was dreaming and everything is back to black and white. Thus, GD realizing that he’s not one of a kind and just another idol.
Now that is how his video should have been.

Is not about affording , a lot of the clothes that are used on videos are borrowed. With a stylist with decent connection you can borrow pretty much anything.
In their case CL is friends with Jeremy so they will wear his clothes because it benefits both of them.
Cavalli is pretty low on the high fashion totem pole. He is consider quite trashy . Which is ok , for their image since their image is about shock value.
If any high fashion house would promote with Kpop stars , it will probably with someone like Siwon. The way he carries himself and his look would be something that will attract them , he was already photograph by Karl for a high fashion magazine.
