American celebrity gossip rag Us Weekly recently released a list of the “Best Girl Groups Of All Time” and the Wonder Girls were on it.
The South Korean girl-group formed by Yubin, Yeeun, Sunye, Sohee and Hyelim formed in 2007 and soon released their debut single, “Irony.” Other singles include “Tell Me” and “This Fool.” Throughout the 2000s, the group suffered many member rotations, though they are the first Korean group to ever enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
I dunno about you guys, but this definitely seems legit and not bought and paid for by some mysterious anonymous donor that I’m sure wasn’t JYP Entertainment and/or a shameless page views grab by a shit publication.

Come to think of it, I agree too. Among those girl groups they prolly are the most prepared.
The Wonder Girls are better than several of the other girl groups on that list, though. So, I guess you could just say the whole list is bullshit.
Anyways, I’m sure the reason the Wonder Girls are on the list is just because they felt the need to include an Asian girl group, so they just went with the one most known to Americans. I doubt SNSD has ever had radio play in the US.

Sadly the biggest reason the Wonder Girls never had a huge break through in the US is because 1)They are not unique 2)Not all of them are talented 3)They also happen to be fugly.
Again with the talent thingie, I don’t think that matters to much really and they are all real pretty I think tho Lim is kinda funny looking

only yenny can hold a steady note, lim is mediocre rapper and vocal, sun and sohee are pain to my ears and yubin cant rap for shit. i never understood the hype around them. well they are not as bad as t-ara. where not even one member can hold a steady note, not even the lead vocal soyeon. but at least most of t-ara members are damn hot, which is always a big plus. although i have to agree with people commenting about wonder girls personalities. they indeed seem least fake, hungry for stop light and bitchy compared to other girl groups. plus i really respect sun as a person. but personality never seemed like big factor in kpop world.
The list just kept getting more irrelevant until you get to the WonderGirls. So seems quite legit :>

I always thought that was deliberate, especially considering the Dreamgirls movie came out around the same time (a couple weeks before?) they debuted.
They’re definitely not a Supremes though, unless they have a hidden Florence whose voice is being suppressed in an effort by the company to make them sound more pop neutral :o in which case she’ll die a bitter 30 something.
