If you haven’t already seen HyunA‘s MV for “Ice Cream“, do so.
“Melting“, HyunA’s last hurrah before fall/winter season hits and the balladeers come out of their holes like a group of angry, disenfranchised vampires for their once-a-year shot at charting, couldn’t have been timed better. Sure, she was the latest to the show (in terms of release date), but the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Psy, riding high on the tail end of the “Gangnam Style” craze, makes a brief but memorable cameo in the first few seconds of her MV, which guarantees her at least a few million views.
Oh, and she showed up all the others who’ve made comebacks. Ga-In‘s actual/simulated arthouse cinema love scene? Nah. SECRET‘s spread-leg, shove-my-crotch-at-the-cameraman dance? Puh-leeze. Nope, HyunA wins with her what-if-K-pop-and-Kreayshawn-had-a-baby-out-of-wedlock swag.
Oh, and can we talk about how HyunA literally (yes, literally) sprayed the male extras in her video with her … uh … “ice cream”?
Why MOGEF banned “Very Hot” but let this one fly under the radar is beyond me. It’s probably because they have standards, you guise.

I know of at least 2 rookie groups who both debuted with clusterfuck – one being Tiny-G, the other Goddess.
Now Hyuna comes back with visuals that would give even the blind nightmares and audio that makes deaf people feel relieved for being deaf.
People, clusterfuck is a genre from now on.

I’m actually extremely happy for Psy’s success. His image, personality and music are “friendly”, approachable, creative and very fun. The music industry right now is so serious and competitive it’s a nice breath of fresh air to have someone just dance and not give a damn.
Also I know people are going to dress up as Psy for halloween, seriously I hope Psy continues his success. I doubt it’ll sustain after Gangnam Style but here’s hoping.

While yes, yes, Hyuna has probably successfully turned on the sexy for the most part in this video, there’s so many freaking elements that make it unfappable… the backup dancers have HORRENDOUS outfits and hair, that guy with her name tattooed on his back screams desperate, and – need I say – the intro? Uh.. kudos to you if you can masturbate to this. You’re a trooper.

Everything about this comeback is alright (wish she had better choreography). The music video to me was forgettable to say the least. I will say though, from what I could remember, her sex appeal was natural this time around.
