Ailee‘s “I Will Show You” is awesome, as is most everything she does. But, there’s a lesson and a message that every music video tries to convey, and this one’s is a bit confusing to me.
The lesson of this music video is that if you’re the cool jock guy in high school, you can totally be a dick and ignore the homely nerdy girl, because that’ll only inspire her to change herself to become a gorgeous star-quality vocalist for you, and then at the end of the day, as long as you’re still super good-looking, she’ll accept your advances if you pursue her enough.
It’s confusing because it’s a weird lesson to give after the whole song is about how she doesn’t need him anymore.
