Yes, that’s the holiday that comes closest to it if you compare those 2 holidays in terms of “being grateful for a successful harvest”. But I am sure that every country has something similar.
But Thanksgiving has more depth to it, doesn’t it?
Erntedankfest is not even an official holiday which is weird considering the church fucking loves their holidays. And I have never seen anyboy celebrating it (which doesn’t mean that nobody does, but it’s rare). Not even the local church here gives a damn.
But yes, you are right. It is slightly similar – but I wouldn’t call it an equivalent.

My friend and I have both played virtually every final fantasy game, up through FF13 (and beaten most of them but not all…). His favorite was FF8 which surprises me slightly.
Right now I’m playing FF3. They remade it for Nintendo DS, and recently ported it to Android so I when I found that out I had to download it. $15 but totally worth it even though it freezes occasionally.
