Rookie group Pure's concept is based on trolling 'Always Keep The Faith' TVXQ/JYJ fans

PureTrolls

I gotta give the CEO of Pure Entertainment credit here, because talking about this news is likely what he wanted to begin with, even if it is to make fun of him, but basically his entire debut concept for Pure is to troll ‘Always Keep The Faith‘ brand TVXQ/JYJ fans.

Rookie group Pure will hold a concert in the hope that TVXQ and JYJ will reunite once again.

Their label Pure Entertainment revealed that the boys made a goal of performing 100 times at the Seoul Myeondong Pure K-Pop Live Concert Hall. They will be debuting after their relay concert.

Pure consists of members White Soohyuk, Pink Chanhwee, Black Jimin, Blue Jungbin, and Yellow Younghoo. The boys were brought together by the CEO of Pure Entertainment, who was a long-time fan of TVXQ and wants to see them come together.

The boys of Pure were selected through an audition that centered around the looks, songs, and dance of TVXQ. In Japan, Pure has held two showcases so far, both of which sold out completely. Their Korean concert will open 3 times a week, and will be free for TVXQ fans, as well as those in need. A part of the profits from the concerts will be donated to charity.

Pure’s leader White Soohyuk said, “We’re happy that we can meet our fans through our relay concert. We have concerts planned in Sendai and New Jersey, and we will do our best not to stain the name of TVXQ who was already there. We really hope that TVXQ will stand together as 5 once again.”

So … knowing their fanbase, I’m guessing this will go pretty fucking poorly, but on the flip-side though, I have to at least give him credit for one of the most transparent media plays out there.

I mean this is basically a public declaration saying: “You love TVXQ, I love TVXQ, I have this new group called Pure who I’m trying to make like TVXQ, please give them attention because we all want TVXQ back together.

That’s gotta count for something.

  1. Smart move on their part.

  2. awkward…

  3. LOL Their names though…

  4. Easiest way to get kpop fans ever, but the catch is that they get the crazy ones.

  5. So much secondhand embarrassment….. Basing the existence of a group entirely on that of another one? This has got to be one of the weirdest debut concepts ever, even moreso than D-cups, height, obesity, or the inclusion of biracial members.

  6. they are like as a tribute band
    omg

  7. using TVXQ’s name to get some popularity is like screaming for hate, too bad it was in the same times as Wonbin-Sooyoung so called ”scandal” so no one have any fucks to give about those rookies.

  8. I predict that this will totally work, because the people who are the most rational about groups comparing themselves to TVXQ are the TVXQ fans that still haven’t gotten over the split.

  9. Pretty creative marketing, but I don’t think it will work.

  10. MEN SHOULD NOT SHOW THEIR CALVES IN A FRUITY MANNER SUCH AS THAT PICTURE. Especially with those old women’s moccasins and shiny, looks-like-you-just-shaved-them gloss. NOT CUTE.

  11. plot twist: It works. Group becomes completely irrelevant because they pale in comparison to actual TVXQ.
