Around New Year’s Day on Twitter, I started reminiscing about the ultimate troll performance of the millennium, DJ Ozma on Kohaku Uta Gassen. And while I got around to finding pictures, a bunch of people asked if I could locate the performance, presumably so they could watch the troll in action.
Well … here it is.

Can’t you see the deep symbolic meaning? By dancing around with women and men who appeared to be naked, Ozma was in fact trying to open up a discussion about equal rights, gender identity, objectification of females, objectification of males, gender roles, human rights, censorship, the media’s portrayal of women, homosexuality, nudity and more. Or maybe it was just for fun.
