SHINee‘s “Dream Girl” has been accused of being plagiarized from Mexican artist Luis Miguel, who sung “Vuelve” back in 2003.
If I didn’t think there was something to it, I wouldn’t have bothered posting it. Honestly, if it’s not plagiarized, then they certainly bought it.
At the very least, “Dream Girl” is heavily inspired by “Vuelve”.
Still makes me chuckle when K-pop fans get PISSED when people label it derivative. Hell, at the rate these companies are going, derivative will be a GENEROUS label.

Ain’t no party like an SM party when it comes to light that (at least) one of the comeback album’s songs was bought from/sounds a lot like another artist… Not that this doesn’t happen exclusively with SM, but they always seem either in the midst of a copying controversy like this, or will openly say “Yeah, we bought that shit.”

When Kpop gets plagiarized, it means they’re globally popular and the artist is a nobody… When Kpop plagiarizes, it’s a coincidence or doing that artist a favor for making it sound better. Love the double-standards ^____^

When kpop gets plagiarized they go harass the singer for stealing from their oppas/unnies. When a kpop artist plagiarizes or covers a song they still go and harrass the singer with lines like “*Insert kpop star, brought me here!” or “My oppa/unnie sounds wayyy better than you singing your song!” -_-

Dude not even close SM is a prime example of plagiarizing songs and making them worse I know Korean and sometimes I hate the fact since so many kpop songs have horrid lyrics some being Hot Summer and Run Devil Run,which were both plagiarized just because a song is catchy doesn’t make it good.
