So this Taeyeon and DEAN duet was something I was looking forward to because I’ve liked both of them musically (“I” was good, you hating-ass fucking shits), but given that “Starlight” was a pre-release track, perhaps I shouldn’t have gotten my expectations up. The song was pleasant enough and had its moments, but it sounded like a rich man’s version of early ‘SM Station‘ tracks. Taeyeon and DEAN do their best vocally to make it interesting, but I wanted something more interesting out of the track than just the two of them doing their thing.
If it wasn’t this duo, I normally probably wouldn’t even bother writing about it, but Taeyeon being a food truck attacking thug whose signature move is dual wielding ketchup and mustard bottles makes this all worth it.
