‘Music Station Super Live‘, the year-end special for ‘Music Station‘, will take place on December 22 at 7 PM JST. Among the sea of popular Japanese acts who will be performing, Korean groups TWICE and BTS will be performing as well.
While TWICE going to ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen‘ trumps this, make no mistake that this is a significant accomplishment for a Korean act. As far as I can recall, the only others from K-pop to appear on the special were SNSD (2010, 2011), KARA (2010, 2011), TVXQ (2011), and BoA (2006, 2015). 2010 and 2011 were different times for K-pop in Japan, while BoA is her own animal all together as she was rewarded for years of work in 2006 and was only invited in 2015 cause she has a Christmas classic in “Meri Kuri” (and for her 15th anniversary).
Legend. All current generation stans that go around saying their oppars and unnirs did it themselves can eat shit. When will your faves leave a timeless classic in a foreign country? Never bitches, that’s when.
