Deep Reviews: Suran’s “Winter Bird” will make you feel things

It is December and that means that the K-pop market is saturated with cheap cash-ins aegyo-filled Christmas songs and formulaic ballads. Suran’s “Winter Bird” could easily have been the later, but it maintains a sense of originality due to her passionate delivery.

The song itself is beautifully raw in a way that urges introspection and pause. That being said, its general slowness may turn some listeners off. However, if you are willing to give “Winter Bird” the time to build both emotionally and musically, you will be gifted with a haunting vocal and piano duet.
