While this news is a couple weeks old, when it was announced EBS would take action over the controversy that victimized Busters member Chaeyeon, people were concerned over whether she would lose her job on Boni Hani. Thankfully, the story turns out alright for her, as they ended up doing the sensible thing and announced she would continue on in her position.
Busters’s Chaeyeon will be continuing her position as a cast member on EBS’s “Tok! Tok! Boni Hani.” On December 24, MoneyToday reported the words of a source from EBS, who stated, “We guaranteed Chaeyeon that she would return to the show when the show begins airing again.” The source continued, “We made the choice to put the show on hiatus to reorganize the show to protect the health of our underage cast member, Chaeyeon. The new production staff are currently preparing for the show’s return. We are doing this not to cover up what happened, but to better protect our cast members. “On the day of the incident, we removed Choi Young Soo and Park Dong Geun from the show and separated them from Chaeyeon. At Chaeyeon and her family’s request, we promised to support her with protective counseling programs.”
EBS has confirmed that the return date for their children’s program, “Tok! Tok! Boni Hani,” will be January 20, 2020.
While this should’ve never happened to begin with, credit to EBS for apparently taking serious action and doing the right thing in regards to Chaeyeon.
