In what I’m pretty sure is a rather shocking first since SONE 9/11, former SNSD member Jessica Jung has performed a medley of SNSD songs from when she was still in the group as a part of her Reflections concert tour.
The medley came during an act called Memories Of An Era and included “Gee“, “Genie“, “The Boys“, “I Got A Boy“, and “Mr. Mr.“.
Multiple looks.

Later in the concert, she also performed a slight altered version of “Into The New World“.
The new lyrics that Jessica added in ITNW's ending:

That’s 12 long years pouring out right there.
She also shared these thoughts on the segment’s sudden existence, which I’m honestly still kinda processing.
"It's not about erasing the past or forgetting about it, it's about embracing everything. All the memories we shared, every lesson and all the dreams we had together, I carry them with me…"#JessicaJung #์ ์์นด #JessicaReflectionsTour #JessicaReflectionsTourinMY pic.twitter.com/uFAMfkoMC7

From a neutral’s perspective, this is all great to see, especially with my personal second-gen nostalgia probably at an all-time high due to the state of things in K-pop. Though aside from the sentiment she expressed about it, I do wonder what has changed (if anything) behind the scenes. I don’t want to have false hope that things have cooled, but … so you’re telling me there’s a chance?
Anyway, I trust you will all be normal about this, lol.
Asian Junkie Asian pop. Without discretion.
