Playlisting, because I needed to complicate things for myself, apparently. I dunno.
I wouldn’t say the stuff here is necessarily worse than things in the Highlights feature — and indeed, depending your taste, it might honestly be preferable — but rather it’s more tried and true formulas plus genre-specific stuff. With some of the releases, I think you’ll understand why I wanted a separate place for them, but it doesn’t really matter overall.
A Spotify playlist is embedded at the end, for the sake of simplicity.

Owlpemy & Lady Owl – “Just The Two Of Us”
A mellow and chill track that captures the vibe of two lovers walking through the city at night or something. Nice.
——
Olive – “Into U”
Admittedly a song with a very niche appeal, but it’s nice to imagine peacefully falling asleep to this while cuddling with your anime pillow lover on a cold night, and the soothing vocal helps to distinguish it a bit.
——
Xiihu – “Cold Hands”
The surprisingly aggressive track is the star here, while the vocals assist in creating an almost haunting atmosphere for it all. There’s a level of intrigue to the production that keeps me engaged and coming back to it.
——
Yama – “End Roll”
A relatively mellow song that’s peppy enough to give it a brisk and whimsical feeling, and the vocal tone helps to make it a nice and smooth listen with a touch of earnestness.
——
KiiiKiii – “Delulu”
A good example of a playlistable dance-pop track, as it’s not a standout, but it’s also not meant to be. Great club-ready B-side that’s simplistic yet enjoyable.
——
East Of Eden – “The Weight Of Choice”
Sounds like a quality anime opening, and it’s a bit generic in that way, but the sense of build throughout this rock ballad is something I wish more pop songs of late would emulate.
——
Ayumu Imazu – “MAGICAL”
A stylish and polished City Pop kind of tune, over which Ayumu Imazu‘s vocal just seems to just glide in a refreshingly breezy way. Also, the fact that this is the ending theme for an anime titled Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube is very funny to me.
