‘Goodbye Mr. Black‘ actor Lee Jin Wook, probably best known as the ex-boyfriend of both Choi Ji Woo and Gong Hyo Jin, has been accused of sexual assault.
On July 15, a police source revealed that a woman in her early 30s (hereafter referred to as “A”) filed the lawsuit on July 14. Her complaint has been officially received by Suseo Police Station. In the early hours of July 14, A reported the sexual assault through One Stop Center (a police hospital for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other crimes). After investigating the case, it was transferred to Suseo Police Station. A has since retained a lawyer.
Lee Jin Wook’s agency, C&CO ENS, gave a statement saying that their artist doesn’t know anything about it.
His agency C&CO ENS stated, “There was no such incident. After checking with him, he said that he doesn’t know about it. We will have to find out more details but we are quite taken aback.”
So nobody knows anything yet, but we’ll probably find out something soon enough.
2016 is indeed the year of mess, but unfortunately less in a #TeamSchadenfreude sort of way and more in an actual shit sort of way.
The alleged victim’s report against Lee Jin Wook sheds more light on the incident.
Allegedly, A’s report against the actor states the two had been meeting now and again, and she had visited his home after a night of drinking when the assault took place.
