Ailee dodged the power ballad with “Love Now” for the ‘Please Come Back Mister‘ OST, and thus I doubt it’ll be praised as one of her better efforts, but it definitely is. Without the Beyonce impersonations, she showed off the strength of her voice that goes beyond vocal range or loudness, and managed to make a clear distinction between artists who sing in this range by choice and those who do it by necessity.
The finger-snapping was a somewhat nostalgic callback as well.
