Wheesung‘s “Hold Over” featuring LE exemplifies funk’s devolution into ballad tedium. The song itself is palatable, but lacks enough punch to make it memorable. Even LE, who I rather enjoy, sounds as though she was added as an afterthought. After listening to all three minutes, the only thing that I can remember is the music video. Wheesung should win an award for his accurate depiction of that one guy at the party.
