Rapper Jung Sang Soo booked on assault charges, 5th run-in with law in less than a year

Rapper Jung Sang Soo has been booked by police yet again on assault charges, which marks the fifth time in less than a year he’s gotten into legal trouble.

On March 23, Seoul Geumcheon Police Station revealed that Jung Sang Soo had been booked without detention and that they are investigating. According to the police, Jung Sang Soo assaulted two individuals referred to as A and B on a sidewalk in the Sillim neighborhood of Seoul around 11 p.m. KST on March 22. They said that the rapper hit A in the face and stomach and also punched B in the face. The reason for the fight was due to Jung Sang Soo texting A’s girlfriend to meet up. A followed his girlfriend to where she was meeting Jung Sang Soo and started arguing with Jung Sang Soo. Jung Sang Soo then started hitting A which is when B got hit while trying to stop the fight. Police responded to a call and caught Jung Sang Soo in the act and arrested him. The rapper reportedly kicked a table, cursed, and caused a commotion after arriving at a police substation. Whether or not Jung Sang Soo was under the influence of alcohol has not been confirmed.

While it may not be confirmed whether alcohol was indeed a factor in this incident, it was involved in the last four, so it seems likely.

I mean … wow.
