Himchan (ex-B.A.P) sentenced to 10 months in prison for sexual assault

Back in June of 2019, former B.A.P member Himchan was indicted on sexual assault charges stemming from a 2018 incident. While denying the charges, his lawyer revealed that their defense was that he had implied consent. Unsurprisingly then, he has been found guilty of the charges and has been sentenced to 10 months in prison along with 40 hours of sexual violence treatment.

“According to the evidence that was examined, the victim’s statements are fully credible and support the indictment. For this reason, we acknowledge the charges made against the defendant, and deem him guilty. Considering the defendant’s crime, the severity of it, and the fact that the victim has not forgiven the victim, we came to this decision. However, even though we have sentenced the defendant to prison, we will not arrest the defendant in court, and give the defendant an opportunity to be forgiven by the victim.”

Gonna be honest, I’m quite surprised he got almost a year in jail with no probation. It’s absolutely not that he doesn’t deserve it, but this kind of things rarely seems to happen when it comes to these types of crimes.

In October of 2020, Himchan was booked and got his license suspended after getting into an accident while drunk driving.
