AKB48’s Okada Nana comes out as bisexual in interview

AKB48 member Okada Nana had been hinting at this for a while now in terms of her sexuality, but in a recent interview she basically made it official that she was bisexual, though without responding directly to the question.

Myao: Straight the question, You are not a lesbian?

Nana: Yes

She has been somewhat of a fast riser in the group, going from unranked to #51 to #29 in a span of three years.

Given that they have another election coming up next month, I’m pretty curious as to what the reaction might be.
