After Seolhyun of AOA inadvertently started a bit of a mess by literally just unfollowing people on Instagram, she recently addressed her reasons for unfollowing IU, Yoo Byung Jae, Yoo Ah In, and others while also following Luna of f(x) and more.
“I actually just thought that I followed too many people and that I should clean up my followings a bit, but then I stopped right away when I saw the rumors that started forming. Since people started to shift their attention [to me deleting my followings], I couldn’t touch it anymore.” Regarding questions about women’s rights, she answered, “I’ve always had a lot of interest towards social issues so I try my best to hear everyone’s opinion.”
Do I believe that? Kinda. I mean there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of rhyme or reason to who she was unfollowing in a macro sense. Anything is possible, but it sure seemed like there was simply a narrative some wanted to push and the media recognized attention-getting names were involved, so they gleefully ran with it.
