Yunhyeong of iKON and Daisy of MOMOLAND are a couple, according to a recent report by Sports Seoul that cites an anonymous music industry source.
The sources from the music industry revealed, “Song Yunhyeong and Daisy are dating. They met as a senior and a junior in the industry, became friends, and started dating about three to four months ago. They enjoy going on dates whenever they have free time just like other couples.” Another source revealed, “The relationship between the two is already widely known to representatives in the industry. The two do not see each other very often because of their busy schedules, but they cherish one another.”
Of course, YG Entertainment rarely replies to these types of things, so we’re left waiting for MLD Entertainment, who are checking.
In response, a representative from MLD Entertainment said, “After encountering the dating news, we are currently checking with the artist.”
The problem, of course, is that Daisy is currently on a flight back from Japan. So she’ll land, get onto her Stan Twitter account, and see all this mess unfolding.
Former fansite master Jane can take the photos for their engagement and wedding at least.
Update
Well the two companies have released statements and it seems to be a glorious mess. YGE denied that the two were dating, saying they met with interest.
YG Entertainment stated, “With interest in each other, they met up a few times, but they are not dating.”
That appeared to be immediately contradicted by MLDE, who confirmed they were seeing each other for three months.
Hello, this is MLD Entertainment. This is our official response to the dating rumors surrounding our agency artist Daisy and iKON’s Song Yunhyeong. After checking [with Daisy], we confirmed that they have been seeing each other for three months with interest in one another.
I’m dying. After reading YGE’s statement, Daisy had to have picked up the phone and started yelling at Yunhyeong.
I guess technically both say they met with interest, but YGE’s statement definitely sounds like it was past tense whereas MLDE’s statement is absolutely present tense.
In terms of trustworthiness, one has to go with MLDE over YGE, but who knows at this point? Either way, somebody seems to have got it confused here. Hard to imagine that MLDE would confirm this news unless it was legit, as I can’t recall the last time a girl group member benefited from dating news to some degree. Maybe Hyeri and Tony Ahn? So I doubt it’s like mediaplay or something.
