Quick Reviews: Kep1er return with solid but somewhat unremarkable “Galileo”

Kep1er are back with “Galileo“, a song title I like and a theme they should’ve stuck with from the beginning if they were going to choose the group name they did. Unfortunately, though it’s funky and has a nice bassline, it fails to leave much of an impression.

With a bunch of decently done sing-talking in the verses and a standard build to the chorus, it’s the kind of song that depends on whether the melody and hooks of the chorus work or not. While they both do ramp up the energy, nothing really ends up resonating. Still, it’s not bad or anything and the bridge is a highlight even, but overall it does come off as rather forgettable in the end.
