Other than just being glad that INFINITE member Nam Woohyun is still with us following his cancer scare, I’m also glad he’s making music and bringing upbeat pop tracks to boot.
“Baby Baby” is a groovy and relaxing 80s pop track with some pep to it. The melody during the verses sorta reminded me of “Last Christmas” at points, and it has this nice and pleasant rom-com montage feel to it. The song is perhaps too smooth for its own good to stand out, but it’s hard to hold the lack of vocal theatrics against him knowing he’s coming back from, uh, literal cancer. Fortunately, what he does sing is as effortless as ever, making his return a thoroughly easy and pleasing listen.
