Legendary singer Hamasaki Ayumi has dropped a surprise recently, releasing her first single in around four years in a release titled “Ohia No Ki”.
Well, as you could figure, this isn’t my type of song. Especially because unlike basically everybody else who got into J-pop around the early-00s, I never connected as much with Ayu as I did Utada Hikaru, Amuro Namie, and even Koda Kumi. Though as all their careers start dying, you do find yourself feeling nostalgic for even those from the era you didn’t quite get on the bandwagon for.
