I give credit to the producer of NCT 127’s “Sticker” for trying something out of the box instead of going with something consisting of much safer pop tropes.
That said, the reason risks are risks is because sometimes when you take them what you end up with is a random clusterfuck of sounds smashed together in an unholy orgy that seems specifically released as an experiment to test just how effective parasocial relationships are in getting people to defend a mess of a song.
