In 2004, BoA was about four years into her career, and her image could probably be explained best by the title of her last Korean release, “Atlantis Princess“. It sounds weird to say “My Name” was her maturing at just 18, but that’s exactly what she did with both her image and music, producing a timeless pop single whose music video was recently remade as a part of the SM Entertainment Remastering project.
There should be at least more attempts at trying to capture some of this magic. Retro is in, right? Well, I miss this as well.
Also, the performances in all the different colored outfits were always something to look forward to.
