In a savvy PR move on the part of YG Entertainment that basically served as them taking advantage of the recent discourse around idols doing live performances, BABYMONSTER went all out on recent broadcasts of M Countdown and Inkigayo, performing “SHEESH” with a live band to back them and a bunch of ad libs to show the mics were on.
It doesn’t make the song any better, but it was still cool to see.
Anyway, some K-pop stans were weirdly salty about this, presumably due to fandom wars, but I thought it was clever. And quite frankly, if more groups did this, maybe I’d actually watch these shows.
YGE actually did something smart for once.
