Nowadays more than ever, K-pop crosses streams with places I never would’ve expected decades ago, especially this one since streaming didn’t exist back then.
Anyway, back on September 30, Twitch streamer JasonTheWeen hit 100,000 subscribers, and he basically had a party soundtracked by NewJeans‘ “ETA“. The clip went viral for reasons that are obvious to anybody watching it, as it just looked like everybody was having a ton of fun, and honestly the song’s hook sounds even better when chanted by a group.

Anyway, so that was fun for me personally because despite finding “Super Shy” catchy enough, the complete glaze-pocalypse of that song was insane when “ETA” was right there, so to see the latter get attention for once was fun.
Still, I was unfortunately busy at the time to make a timely post about it, but thankfully NewJeans saw the viral video and decided to recreate it recently to thus make this post timely again.

Well, this was a nice reprieve from the usual shit for once, as we at least got one thing involving NewJeans of late that wasn’t an absolute slog to cover. Huzzah!
