Bullet Points: Fans get weird with Jay & Yunjin, CL & Lee Hi’s late registration, WM is a mess, Shotaro denies dating Giselle, AI, more

Amazing lead picture.

How are LOONA always involved with this iconic/dystopian idol photos? Incredible.

Anyway, in fans behaving weirdly/badly, there’s cringe “rizz content” with ENHYPEN‘s Jay and an unhinged fansite lecture to LE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin.

This might be a boomer take because of course I realize fans were always crazy and parasocial, but it does seem like the volume of stuff like this happening (perhaps due to increased access) seems to be going up. Not sure if the pandemic made people forget how to be normal or what, but goodness. Get a grip.

Lee Hae In will be COO to CEO Kim Jae, former Warner Music Korea exec. The former KISS OF LIFE creative will continue on with Uncore and CLOSE YOUR EYES.

CL and Lee Hi both being busted for not registering their one-man agencies around the same time does make me think that the new government wants to make a statement on stuff like this. No idea if Lee Hi is also facing legal consequences.

WM Entertainment now consists of 67% of Oh My Girl, that’s it. USPEER caught a break, maybe.

LOONA continues to scatter.

Taeyeon re-signing with SM Entertainment after the past year of mess sorta makes sense since there’s familiarity amongst all the instability, but it’s also a reminder that she just likes to complain online about their fuckery and doesn’t mean she’s leaving, despite her fans insisting she needed to/was going to.

Second year in a row for PLAVE.

I didn’t know the Shotaro/Giselle thing was even A Thing.

Maybe a bit off topic, but people have asked why K-pop companies seem so obsessed with trying to force gen AI into stuff, and I assume this is why (apart from dreaming of slave labor). South Korea consumes a ton of it, including probably executives, and so they figure it’s in demand and forward-thinking/cool. Bleak.
