XG change meaning of their acronym from ‘Xtraordinary Girls’ to ‘Xtraordinary Genes’ to represent their growth

Earlier today, XG announced that their two letters will now stand for “Xtraordinary Genes” instead of “Xtraordinary Girls”, stating the change represents a new era for growth from the members.

Obviously a big part of that change is likely Cocona coming out recently as transmasculine nonbinary, and it’s nice to see they have support from the top down.

Honestly, I wasn’t gonna post today, but then I saw some commentary on socials and that K-pop’s own TERF Island posted about it, and I wanted to at least provide an alternative place for people.

Also, the X-Gene thing goes back into their lore, so no need to Sydney Sweeney them either.
