Former TVXQ member Kim Junsu returned recently to major music shows for the first time since 2009 on M Countdown. Perhaps appropriately — as musical theater provided him a stage during his blacklisting –he did so as a part of the cast of Beetlejuice The Musical, performing “The Whole ‘Being Dead’ Thing” after a 17 year absence.
Nothing less than expected from him.
This marks another milestone for him, as back in 2024 he returned to public variety shows for the first time in 15 years.
I kinda figured this day was coming eventually because relations have been defrosting with SM Entertainment (and thus the industry) for a few years now, but it’s still a bit surreal to actually witness after all these years.
